Westview is currently without a pastor. Our Pastor Search Committee has developed a Church Profile and a Pastor Profile to aid in our search for a new pastor. Any interested candidates may submit their resume to the following email: michael.kendrick52@gmail.com.
Church Profile
Westview Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation established in 1958 and located in Kingston Springs, Tennessee—just off I-40, approximately 20 miles west of downtown Nashville. Kingston Springs is a growing commuter community connected to Bellevue (Davidson County) and Dickson County, with strong neighborhood identity and small-town character.
For more than six decades, Westview has faithfully served the Kingston Springs community through worship, teaching, and outreach ministries. Many of our members have deep, longstanding ties to the church, and about two-thirds live within Kingston Springs itself, with the remainder coming from nearby communities. Our average Sunday attendance is approximately 30.
Westview’s congregation is primarily composed of seasoned adult believers who demonstrate spiritual depth, resilience, and commitment. At the same time, we recognize that the church has experienced numerical decline and limited new growth in recent years. The result is a community of faithful saints who love the Lord and His church but who, due to age and changing demographics, face challenges in sustaining ministry energy and outreach momentum.
We believe the Lord is calling Westview into a new season of renewal. The church is seeking a bivocational pastor who will bring gospel-centered leadership, fresh vision, and relational energy—someone who can honor the legacy of the congregation while also helping us reengage the mission field around us. We desire a shepherd who can help cultivate vitality, develop intentional outreach efforts, and connect with younger families and emerging generations in our community.
Westview Baptist Church is ready and eager for revitalization and is praying for a leader who will partner with us in pursuing renewed health, mission, and hope for the future.
Candidate Profile
Westview is seeking a bivocational pastor marked by deep personal devotion to Christ and a humble, prayer-saturated dependence on the Lord. We desire a shepherd who can make wise, difficult decisions with gentleness and clarity, and who holds both truth and love together in his leadership.
Our next pastor should carry a genuine shepherd’s heart for an aging congregation—one that honors their history, faithfulness, and spiritual maturity—while also helping these saints rediscover purpose and joy in disciple-making. At the same time, he should be able to build meaningful bridges to younger families and unchurched neighbors in the Kingston Springs community.
We are looking for a leader who can guide incremental, healthy change through strong relationships and clear communication. He should be able to articulate a hopeful, realistic vision for the future and lead the church toward it at a pace appropriate for revitalization.
Westview needs a team-builder who raises up local leaders, models shared ministry, and mobilizes members for gospel service. Above all, our next pastor should embody humility, gentleness, patient endurance, and spiritual joy—even in seasons of difficulty.
